According to the news – Natural Resources Conservation Workshop 50th Anniversary happened last June 4-9 at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia.

The workshop started year 1962, approximately 11,852 participants already graduated. For this year 178 Georgia high school students from 81 counties throughout Georgia enjoyed, which includes 10 students and two chaperons from the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Students participated in activities, field trips and hands-on classroom learning with opportunities to earn college scholarships at the end of the week.

According to Dennis Brooks , the Workshop Director “ The workshop is an excellent opportunity for high school students interested in learning and observing first-hand about the environment and natural resources.

Students will have the chance to know the essential of conserving natural resources and the vital role these resources play in our daily lives and for generations to come.
