Carroll Community College offering enrichment programs for youths

According to tht news – Carroll Community College’s Summer!Kids@Carroll instructor Vicki Mahr said that she commonly teaches engineering classes to middle-school students over the summer, but wanted to offer a program for younger children to start introducing some basic science concepts. She said they are sciencewise on the whole discovery and exploration.

Senior director of lifelong learning and program support systems at the college Sally Long said that Each camp has a specific topic and we focus on learning and providing an enrichment experience for the kids in that particular topic, but we try to maintain the camplike environment where the kids are having fun

They have more than 100 classes and majority of them are lasting half a day for a week and offered to children with the age 3 to 14 through August 12.

Most of the classes are led by experts in their specific field and there are guest speakers who present their topis and help youths in a specific projects.
