Central Michigan University Powers Hall

According to source – Central Michigan University was well-symbolized Monday mid-day at Ford Area once the Mid-American Conference and NCAA Youth Football joined using the Think Detroit Pal to host a totally free youth football clinic.

CMU head coach Don Enos, assistant coaches Mike Cummings, Kyle Nystrom and Kort Shankweiler and director of operations Plas Presnell all participated in the event, which came a lot more than 100 Detroit-area youth to the home of the National Football League’s Detroit Lions.

“Our staff feels that part of our job is to help the state of Michigan develop football,” Enos said. “Any time you can impact young people in a positive way is obviously a good thing. This is a great opportunity for us to give back to a great city.”

Clinic participants were subjected to a number of football drill stations, while parents and guardians had the chance to go to breakout periods concentrating on NCAA compliance and football issues of safety. Each clinic participant also received two tickets to the MAC Championship Game at Ford Field on Dec.2.
