According to the news – Gov. John Hickenlooper went to Western Slope to sign a bill that will chance a name of a school. The school is Meta State College, who is now officially called Colorado Mesa University. The Governor said that it is the moment when transition happens and it is up to their imagination as to what Meta State becomes. About 250 people witness the signing of the bill.
President of Meta State College Tim Foster, which is now Colorado Mesa University, said that the new name is accurately portrays 86 year old intuition and its growth in enrollment, academic programs and facilities. He also added the new name will help potential students living from outside Collorado to give idea about the location of the school.
