Davidson College put a unique new maintenance crew to operate yesterday. The crew includes 30 goat’s imported in the Asheville area, as well as their job is to consume all of the kudzu vine overrunning probably the most-used stretch from the college’s environmental preserve.

The invasive kudzu vine overcomes almost six acres of forest at Davidson College. It’s everywhere – since the ground, hanging from trees as well as sneaking within the thin fence that attempts to keep a well known mix country path obvious.
