According to the news – There are brand new programs introduced by Delaware Technical & Community College that aims to connect Delawareans with jobs that are currently in demand like IT, healthcare and energy.

According to Delaware Technical & Community College President, Dr. Orlando J. George, Jr. their new offerings will address the issue that most to Delawareans, which is Jobs. He said that they unveiled a comprehensive Jons Plan in early 2009 based from Delaware’s Department of Labor, business and industry, and our advisory committees. He also added that and in spite of difficult economy and limited resources, they are able to develop the academic programs that will provide Delawareans with access to exciting careers and Delaware employers with the critical workforce they need in these areas.

The programs that will be available this fall are Renewable Energy, Surgical Technology, Food Safety, Health Information Systems (HIM), Information Security, Computing & Information Science, Middle School Mathematics Education and Direct Support Professional.
