According to the news – Arkansas college player becomes the 3rd in Harding University baseball program to be drafted by Major League Baseball team. Los Angeles Angles chose Jason Nappi in the 42 round on Wednesday, the final day of the 2011 draft.
Nappi receive All-South Region and All-Gulf South Conference honors as a senior. He leads his team with nine home runs, .384 batting average and 54 RBIs. After 14 years he was selected after Tim Lacefield was selected in the 30th round by Toronto Blue Jays and Pitcher Bob Mckeel was taken in the 62 round by Kansas City Royals year 1969.
The official of the school says that after Jason Nappi signs his contract, they will assign him to one of their minor league teams.
