There are recent changes on the tuition fee of Alabama Community Colleges. It is the result of the vote by the Alabama State Board of Education. A full time average student needs to pay more extra $200 each semester.

According to the reports of cbs24, a student name Kendrea Burrell who is taking up cosmetology at Lawson State Community College said that her parents are paying her tuition out of their pockets and it is hard with parents who are not working right now or do not have stable job.

All community colleges across the US will need to function with no federal stimulus dollars beginning next year. Lawson State Community where Kendrea Burrell study will lose about $1 million dollars. Lawson State Administration said that the extra money they will receive from students will go toward basic operation costs of the school.
