Louisiana College second baseman Jordan Marks is already an All-American. He is now the only Division III player selected first team all-Louisiana. Mark is a Holy Savior Menard Graduate, who is selected to the team by Louisiana Sports Writers Association.

LC coach Mike Byrnes said that Jordan is richly deserve the honor and he is so very happy for him.
Mark started his collegiate career at LSU-Alexandria, hit .340 with 10 home runs, 12 doubles and 55 RBI this spring in 43 games with the Wildcats.

The 2011 all-Louisiana Hitter of the Year is LSU outfielder Mikie Mahtook. The state’s Coach of the Year is LSU-Shreveport’s Rocke Musgraves.

Mikie Mahtook, Kurt McCune and Raph Rhymes of LSU teammates are first team selections that will lead all state school with five first and second team selection.

According to the news – Louisiana College have their Louisiana Athletic Club’s Kid’s Boot Camp, which began Monday and will end July 29. The camp is open for ages 9 to 13 years old.

LAC Kid’s Boot Camp program director Calleen Eyre said that the camp was created to keep children active and to help them lose weight. He also added that the camp is Monday through Friday from 10 a.m to noon.

Currently, there are 22 kids participating in the camp. Parents who want their children to join the camp can still sign. Children will have the chance to participate in different activities like indoor cycling, weight training, water aerobics, lap swimming, running, aerobics, and game training.

Jeremy Moreau, the LAC athletic trainer put 16 campers in three lines and made them to run backward. The kids had the chance to catch a football while running backward. The main goal is to make campers feel they are not exercising.
