Former softball coach of University of Alabama is now LSU’s new head coach

According to the news – Patrick Murphy, The well known head softball coach of University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa is now the new Louisiania State University head coach. It was announced last June 9 that he will replace Yvette Girouard who retired already.

In a statement, LSU Athletics Director Joe Alleva said that they are excited to bring Patrick Murphy to LSU to lead their softball program.

Patrick Murphy had more than 700 wins during his 13 seasons as the head coach of Alabama. Tide junior Cassie Reilly-Boccia said in a statement that Coach Patrick Murphy is one of the best couaches in the country and he wish him the best of luck in the future. They will all going to miss him but they will try their best to stick together as team and continue to play alabama softball.
