The rough stone walls that line most of the interior fight visually everything placed on or in front of them.

Only Kathryn Van Dyke’s “Knowing You Knowing Me” (2001) and Chris Fraser’s site-specific “A Light Breeze” (2010) defeat the space itself.

Van Dyke offers a permeable cube, open at its four corners, whose “walls” consist of rows of small, ready-made mirrors of various shapes, gridded into loose curtains with transparent filament.

There are large numbers of transfer students in Notre Dame de Namur University.

It was reported that there were about 1,801 students were enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and other programs at Notre Dame, its highest count ever.

While there were only about 1,600 students enrolled last year. The numbers of transfered students have increase this year.

“The big increase in transfers relates directly to the budget cuts in the state systems,” said Notre Dame spokesman Richard Rossi in the County Times.

Notre Dame de Namur University plans to remain a small institution, a private, four-year, Catholic institution in California. Even with the increase of volume of enrollees, the students on campus is not more than 2,000.
