According to the news- Faculty member of Ohio University Keith Newman produced local documentary called “David Hostetler: The Last Dance”. The documentary won in four Emmys July 30 at the 47th annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards. The film won in two categories: Documentary Cultural/Topic and Musical/Composition-Arrangement. Keith Newman said that it’s nice to be recognized for your work.

Keith Newman already won in the past but it was the first Emmy for the three other winners. There are also winners coming from Ohio University like Casey Hayward who won Emmy in the Documentary Cultural/Topic category, Eric Arvia together with professor Andrew Gribou won an Emmy for the musical score in the Musical/Composition-Arrangement.

Several years ago Keith Newman’s originally produced David Hostetler: The Last Dance as a theatrical release. The film was aired October 2010 in television and re-cur for public broadcasting.

According to the news – Princeton Review said that Ohio University in Athens ranked the first position as a party school in the United States.

Fifth-year student at the university, Eric Benjamin said that For the most part on campus, people know how to have a good time.

The review is according to the survey which includes different questions like hours of study each day, use of drugs and alcohol and the popularity of Greek system. The review is part of the book “Best 376 Colleges: 2012 Edition”. The second and third included in the list are University of Georgia and the University of Mississippi.

Roderick J. McDavis, Ohio University President sent email to staff and faculty that the rank is not indicative of the overall experience of the university and it’s not match with his personal data.

According to the news – Saturday, the 257th undergraduate commencement exercises of Ohio University happened in the Convocation Center.

There are over 4,000 graduates who are happy to accept their degrees. 9:30 in the morning the Graduates of the College of Business, Regional Higher Education, Scripps College of Communication and University College College of Fine Arts, Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology took part in the ceremony.

At 2 pm students earning degrees from Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education and Human Services, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Health Sciences and Professions, Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education and Human Services together with the Honors Tutorial College marched into the Convocation Center
