State’s colleges keep pace with rest of US.
Study praises retention, graduation, urges efficiency

Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne, also referred to as IPFW, was founded on September 17, 1964.

Colleges and universities in Indiana are achieving results in student retention, degree and certificate completion, and graduation at a rate similar to comparable institutions around the country, according to a report on school performance released today.

The study was commissioned by the Chamber of Commerce and funded by the Lumina Foundation.

The study focused on using data to measure school performance relative to costs. The study looked at 16 colleges and universities in the state, including the Ivy Tech system, Indiana University, Purdue University, Ball State University, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and Vincennes University.
