According to the news –University of Alabama Alumni Association Savannah Chapter gives $45,000 check to Governor Bentley’s Emergency Relief Fund.
Tide Together is a fundraising campaign that Alumni Association organized.
Senator Bryan Taylor said they had some severe tornado damage right here in the River Region area and of course Tuscaloosa made national news so my brother called me and said hey I’d like to do something get the Savannah chapter of the Alumni Association together to raise money to help Alabamians.
Michael Taylor said it’s a wonderful feeling to bring $45,000 to the Governor of Alabama on behalf of people in Savannah. We had a lot of volunteers a lot of wonderful donors and it’s just wonderful feeling to be able to deliver that on their behalf.
University of Alabama Alumni Association set a goal to make a raise of $12,000 to $15,000.
Emergency Relief Fund has raised $4 million to be put to use in Alabama according to Governor Bentley.
