According to source – Within this summer time warmth, kids need to find some creative methods to keep awesome outdoors. A group from the University of Akron Biology Department gave them just this kind of chance using the Stream Scavenger Hunt in the Bath Character Preserve, while providing them with an opportunity to find out about their atmosphere simultaneously. Kids and families had the opportunity to vacation lower towards the water and find out more about the wildlife from the University of Akron students.

University of Akron Football announces complete 2011 schedule

According to source, Six Saturday home games, including a Senior Day showdown against neighborhood rival Kent State, highlight The University of Akron’s 2011 football schedule, second-year head coach Rob Ianello announced Monday in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference.

A change to the previously announced non-conference schedule allows MAC opponent Temple to open what will be UA’s third season at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field on Sept. 10. Originally scheduled for that date was Florida International, who now will visit on Oct. 8. The FIU game will be part of UA’s Homecoming weekend, which will feature an entire slate of campus-wide programming, to be announced at a later date.

Akron’s home MAC schedule also consists of contests against Ohio on Oct. 22, Central Michigan on Oct. 29 and the annual Wagon Wheel contest versus Kent State on Nov. 12. The Zips also have a home nonconference meeting with Virginia Military Institute on Sept. 24.

Along with previously announced nonleague road games at intrastate rivals and BCS opponents Ohio State on Sept. 3 and Cincinnati on Sept. 17, UA will visit MAC schools Eastern Michigan on Oct. 1, Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 3, Buffalo on Nov. 19 and Western Michigan on Nov. 25.
