According to the news – The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music will have a new dean and it is actually one of their graduates.
Provost at the University of Cincinnati, Santa Ono announced on Monday the new dean and it was Peter Landren, which is the current director of the conservatory at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and a CCM graduate. It is effective September 1 but still pending approval by UC’s board of trustees.
Provost Ono said that Landgren is coming home and he called him “n outstanding musician and administrator and a proud UC alumnus. He also added that he is most impressed with his excellent interpersonal skills, his passion for teaching, learning and scholarship and his love of students. They have hit a home run with the appointment of Peter as CCM Dean.
