Lanes reopen from the north Broadway reconstruction project,
Boulder has started a project on the other side of town will reduce the major thoroughfare to one lane in each direction where it passes the University of Colorado for much of 2011.

The city already has started preliminary work, including installing a full traffic light at 18th Street. Walsh said the hope is that having a fully functional intersection with turn lanes will ease some of the impact of construction.

Residents and CU students will get a chance to see final design drawings for the project, learn about how construction will affect local traffic and share feedback with city planners at an open house at the University Memorial Center on Thursday night.
