University of South Florida Polytechnic campus accepts freshman and sophomore students for next school year

According to the news – University of South Florida Polytechnic campus is now accepting freshman and sophomore students for the next school year.

The approval from Southern Association of Colleges is the first step for individual accreditation separate from USF system. The system includes school across the bay area, which are autonomous in governing yet are all under the USF umbrella.

Actually, USF St. Petersburg and most recently USF Sarasota-Manatee are now have separate accreditation.

According to Polytechnic spokeswoman Samantha Lane said Polytechnic’s ability to take in lower undergraduates is the school’s first push in that direction. She also added that It was what we needed … so they can build that four-year experience for students.

The University of South Florida in Tampa is one Florida’s 11 public universities. It was founded in 1956.

The homecoming celebration, SuperBull XIV, is under way at the University of South Florida with events involving, students, faculty, alumni and supporters.

The University of South Florida Alumni Association will have a Parade Watch Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Gibbons Alumni Center front lawn, this is as part of the celebration.

This is a free annual event includes a DJ, games and food samplings from the USF Bulls Country vendors. The homecoming parade begins at 7 p.m.
