According to the news – University of Texas at Arlington vice president for research and federal relations Ronald L. Elsenbaumer has been named as the new vice president for academic affairs position and provost.
Elsenbaumer will replace Donald R. Bobbit who will become the next president of the University of Arkansas System. Ronald L. Elsenbaumer appointment will be effective on Oct. 24.
According to the president of University of Texas at Arlington James D. Spaniolo, Elsenbaumer helped in raising the 34,000-student university’s research profile particularly in engineering, nanotechnology, science and biotechnology. He said that Dr. Elsenbaumer gave a helping hand to their university toward academic excellence and he fully understands the totality of the university. He also said that they could not ask for a more dedicated, more skillful leader to help guide University of Texas at Arlington as it becomes a major national research institution.”
