University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc new promotions

According to the news – It was announced effective on July 1 that the new associate dean of University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc is the associate professor of theater and communication arts of the university, Dr. John Wright.

Dr. John Wright started teaching at University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc year 2004. He finished his bachelor’s degree from Berry College, his master’s degree from the University of Georgia, and his doctorate from Louisiana State University.

Dr. John Wright will help in different task like course scheduling, staffing and exploring cooperative programs, while he continue to teach classes and direct the campus theater program.

Last June meeting of the UW System Board of Regents, it was approved also that Dr. Rebecca Abler will be promoted as the associate professor of biological sciences with tenure.

Dr. Rebecca Abler started teaching at Wisconsin-Manitowoc year 2005 and received honored in 2009 with the Regents Diversity Award for a collaborative project with UW-Stout that encourages diverse participation in the STEM fields.

Cristi Beringer also promoted to senior administrative program specialist. She started working as campus’ information technology manager year 2003. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UW- Milwaukee.
