According to source – Illegal fireworks captivated a 2-acre brush fire near Weber State University late Saturday, Ogden fire authorities stated.

Two grown ups were shooting off fireworks that Chad Lewis, deputy fire chief, stated released from the tube. Even under Utah’s new fireworks law, the unit is against the law, he stated.

“It was an illegal firework and really a poor choice as far as an area to light them,” Lewis said.
