According to source:  Founded in 1964, Wright State University was originally the Dayton branch campus of both Miami University and Ohio State University. At that time it comprised only a single building, Allyn Hall (named for Stanley Allyn, then-president of National Cash Register and one of the university’s founders).

Wright State University allow Liberal Arts directors in present positions

According to the news – Wright State University’s Liberal Arts College head agreed to the plan that will let six department heads to keep their present positions.

Originally Dean Charles Taylor planned to hire one administrator that will oversee six programs within the college to let the current department heads to teach more classes. But now those teachers will stay at their present posts because the plan has been scrapped.

Kelli Zaytoun, Women’s Studies; Lynette Jones, African-American Studies; Noeleen McIlvenna, Social Science Education, Bruce LaForse, Liberal Studies, Tracey Steele, Criminal Justice and December Green, International Studies are directors who’s positions are at risk.

Next year Wright State University will lose the amount of $15 million. Dean Charles Taylor is finding ways on how to cut costs in his department. Next year Dean Charles Taylor will leave 12 positions vacant.
